I was tasked to create their visual identity including logo, website design, animation, poster, and flyer. Volle Lucht means filled air. With this idea in mind, I decided to create a rounded font as logo that looks like ballons. Ballons can travels miles, they are not bound to frontiers. They bring joy to people, they remind you of celebrations. Freedom is powerful when lived together. But it’s also fragile like a ballon in the harsh wind. The more people connect the more they protect it.
Visually I wanted to represent the idea of filling the air with personal stories, creating cloudy shapes like faces. The shapes show movement and the vibration can also evoked music/sound. I used air spray to give this idea of something volatile and cloudy. Also, it integrated well with the neighborhood as Neuw West is a place with a lot of Street Art.
